WHERE CAN I FIND YOUR BLOG?
Our blog is in the works – it’ll consist of all things health and beauty. Everything you need to know about beauty, skincare, health, wellness, and aesthetics will be laid on for you. For the time being, I have a couple of posts on the website about the basics of skincare. Check out “SKINBIBLE” to learn more about common skincare product ingredients and “SKIN TYPES” to find your skin type. While the blog is pending, check out my Instagram page where I post clean beauty tips and good finds @dermadame.aesthetics.
DO YOU INCORPORATE CLEAN BEAUTY PRODUCTS INTO YOUR RECOMMENDATIONS?
Absolutely. Clean beauty is so important to me. There is so much junk in cosmetics that essentially goes straight into our bloodstream. Our skin is the largest organ in our bodies, we have to take care of it with TLC! All my product recommendations are free of parabens, phthalates, synthetic fragrance, and mineral oils. I take my clients back to the basics – simple skincare with raw ingredients.
ALL MY LIFE I HAVE HAD DRY SKIN, BUT LATELY, MY SKIN FEELS OILY, IS IT POSSIBLE FOR MY
SKIN TYPE TO CHANGE OVER THE YEARS?
A change in skin type is very possible. Your hormones, environment, current regimen, and age are all factors that contribute to a change in your skin health. Rest assured, I’ll guide your skin to be in its best shape with product recommendations and treatment options.
HOW CAN I TRUST A VIRTUAL CONSULTATION? ARE YOU ABLE TO PROPERLY ASSESS YOUR
CLIENTS THROUGH VIDEO CHAT?
Prior to a consultation, I send my clients a preliminary assessment pertaining to their type of consultation to complete; this helps me better prepare for the session. These are questions regarding lifestyle, diet and health, a list of vitamins/supplements taken, skin health, and current products used, along with at least 3 clear, well-lit photos of yourself. In our session, I take a deep dive into your answers
which helps me assess your needs precisely. I confidently say that I haven’t had any issues with meeting clients’ needs thus far.
WHAT INGREDIENTS GO INTO MOST SKINCARE PRODUCTS?
I have curated a detailed list of all the most common ingredients you’re most likely to see in your skincare products. Some are harmful, some are helpful, but it is important to know what is going into the products we're putting on our delicate faces. You can find these ingredients and their descriptions by clicking here to be directed to the SKINBIBLE.
WHAT IS AN AESTHETICIAN?
Aestheticians are trained in skin wellness, to help their clients achieve a healthy complexion. They perform various facial treatments to moisturize and rejuvenate the skin. Aestheticians are trained in treating conditions such as acne, rosacea, eczema, and more conditions. Treatments and products are recommended and used on each client to protect skin from environmental hazards, wrinkles, and fine
ines, and uneven, dull skin tone, to name a few.
IS AN AESTHETICIAN A TRAINED MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL?
No, an aesthetician does not diagnose, prescribe, perform procedures, or any other form of treatment that requires a medical license. An aesthetician can supplement what a dermatologist recommends, by providing a product or support therapies. A dermatologist is a licensed medical professional who specializes in disorders of the skin.
Aestheticians cannot treat the deeper layers of patients’ skin the way dermatologists are licensed to. However, aestheticians are trained to pick up on early signs of many medical conditions that affect the skin. If any such condition worsens, they will then refer their client to a dermatologist to be treated medically.
See our full disclaimer explaining that an esthetician cannot be regarded as a medical professional here:

WHAT SERVICES DO YOU OFFER? WHAT EXACTLY IS A VIRTUAL SKINCARE CONSULTATION?
I offer 3 different types of virtual consultations. Skincare, health and wellness, and aesthetics consultations. I initially started out by offering skincare questions but noticed I was getting asked many questions regarding wellness and surgical/nonsurgical aesthetics, so I decided to add these categories as new services. Depending on which consultation your purchase, we will have a one-on-one virtual consultation where I will ask a series of questions, we will discuss your areas of concern and goals. I will then make an assessment based on your goals, budget, and lifestyle. My recommendations are uniquely designed to fit your individual needs and achieve your specific goals
